Persian-on-cat-tree

All cats like having a place to play, hide, and rest. Cat trees can be a great solution to have a spot for your cat(s). Cat trees come in many different sizes, styles, and colors. You can buy them or even make a DYI project out of them.

All cats aren’t the same. However, some are small, some are large, some like to climb as high as they can, and yet others would rather hang out on the floor.

Today, I’m going to look at cat trees that will make life with your Persian better by choosing cat trees that fit with the Persian personality. Some Persians don’t like to climb or jump as much as other cat breeds. They prefer staying close to the floor. There are exceptions to the rule. Some Persians cats haven’t read the description of their kind and will jump and climb just as much if not more than other cat breeds. My own Persian cat Milo falls into this category, he just loves to climb.

DIY Options

If you don’t like the idea of buying something that just doesn’t fit your household, décor, or even your Persian or Persians, you may like these ideas. You can make a tree, tower, or condo for your Persian.

You can use almost any material to make your cats a great tree, tower, or condo. Cardboard to tree branches to particle board to furniture grade wood plus other stuff as well. PVC also makes a great material to use. All you need is your imagination and knowledge of your Persian to make them the ideal furniture.

I have a shelf we put up for our cats to look out the windows in the living room. I’d like to add a bank of wooden boxes with openings and tunnels along the wall under that shelf. Some people even add boxes, shelves, and ledges on the walls. Your room would need to be significant for something like that, but it’s a cool idea. You can take logs from small trees to make posts to add platforms so that your kitty has places to climb up high on and survey their surroundings. Your unlimited creativity is all that it takes, plus some tools and materials.
